LoopLoose

Swap pegs. Free the loops.

A calm, juicy untangle puzzle for iPhone. Coloured rubber bands are stretched round pegs, all tangled up. Tap one peg, tap another, and they swap places. Keep swapping until no two bands cross and every loop springs free.

A real LoopLoose screen: stage 108 in the Coral world, four coloured bands tangled round cream pegs, with a white spark wherever two bands cross.

Have a go

Try stage 1. It's right here.

This is the real stage 1 from the game: the same pegs, the same bands, the same par. Solve it and stages 2 and 3 are waiting.

  1. Tap a peg

It lifts up, ready to move.

  2. Tap another

The two swap places, and their bands stretch along with them.

  3. Clear every spark

A spark sits wherever two bands cross. Pop the last one and every loop is free.

    Stars

    Fewer swaps, more stars

Every stage is built backwards from a solved board, so it always has a solution. Then a solver works out par: the fewest swaps it can find.

    • Match par, or beat it. On the biggest boards par is the best the solver found, so a sharp eye can do better.

    • Within a quarter over par. A swap or two extra on a big board.

    • Solved it your way. Every solve counts, and you can come back for more stars.

    No undo. Just Reshuffle.

Every swap counts, even a swap back. Stuck? Reshuffle deals the stage again for free, mirrored and with its colours turned round, so you solve it fresh rather than from memory.

The solved card in LoopLoose: three stars, All loose!, 5 moves, par 5, with Replay and Next stage buttons over the freed loops.

    250 stages

Eight worlds, from a sunny breeze to a midnight sky

Boards grow from two little loops to 36 pegs, and every tenth stage is a boss: its world's longest tangle. The soothing music changes with each world, with rubber-band twangs tuned to it.
